Ray Thompson

It is said Ray loved the Wheelersburg community and is fondly remembered as a kind and generous man who would lend a helping hand to a stranger. He devoted his life to serving others through his ministry with the Church of the Nazarene as an ordained minister.
Ray was an active community servant along the paths his life led him. Whether it was serving as the high school football game public announcer; coaching a youth team; raising funds for Church projects; feeding the hungry; visiting the sick; or traveling the world to spread a message of hope through his Christian ministry, Ray was full of life and loved those he came in contact with.
He was married to Tamberlyn Thompson for 31 years. They had two sons, Dusty Thompson and Heath Thompson.
Mr. Thompson passed away March 28, 2011. He served our community with a great passion so as to bring honor to himself, his family and our school. His life serves as an example for all graduates of Wheelersburg, past and future, to emulate
