Social Media Family Resources

Social media is always changing and sharing information online is a part of daily life for many children and teens. Monitoring apps and activity on your child's device is extremely important to keep them safe. The networking power of social media means it is not uncommon for kids to connect with others inappropriately online. The following link provides a list of resources to monitor screentime, app usage and so much more. We encourage all parents to consider utilizing these resources and to take time to discuss internet safety at home!

Additionally, the link below provides many helpful resources for families as well.

In Loving Memory

Darcie Layne-McCoy was a fierce warrior fighting cancer. Everyone was drawn to Darcie. She loved school and enjoyed getting dolled up for Crazy Orange and Black Day. Then, in Darcie fashion, she would turn around and get dirty winning a ball game at recess. She loved to learn new things, create artistic masterpieces, and was a vibrant girl that loved bright colors (especially yellow). Darcie was a loyal friend to her classmates and a model student for her teachers. We have no doubt that Darcie is riding a dirt bike or four-wheeler in heaven and winning every race. We love you, Darcie.

Darcie taught us to...
- Be brave when faced with struggle
- Be kind when life is not always kind back
- Be loving to others
- Be a servant to others
- Be caring towards others
- Be joyful
- And...Be a Darcie for someone else!

Thank you Darcie for showing us the WAY!

Tribute to Ms. Cummings

On Friday, December 11th, many friends, family, and two communities lost a very special wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, teacher, and friend.
Special friends are what make our hearts burst with pride, laughter, and belonging. They tell us with a smile that we are valued and loved. Those friends go above and beyond the call of friendship to reach out to others to make them feel the same compassion. They show devotion to any cause greater than themselves.
Jerri Cummings exuded life with her giving and servant nature. She sought to fight for light to shine on all of us regardless of any difference. Jerri was relentless in her drive to assist others. She sought to make sure every day needs were met for her students, any hearts that needed an ear, or any opportunity to show a warm smile, she gave.
It is with this remembrance in mind, that we take a moment to hug those that need a hug; serve those that need served; and indeed love those that need love. Bless you Jerri Cummings for this glorious roadmap. We will miss you.
