ANNUAL PUBLIC NOTICE OF CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Each year, the Wheelersburg Local School District offers career- technical education programs at Wheelersburg High School. These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and training services and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers, counselors, and cooperative education coordinators. The following is a list of programs or courses being offered this year and criteria for admission.
Program (or Course) | Criteria for Admission |
The Allied Health program is a first step to prepare students with the mathematics, science, and technical skills needed to provide clinical assistance in patient care, emergency interventions (CPR, first-aid), AED), nutrition, dentistry, and surgery. These courses are designed for students who want to enter any profession in the medical field - nurse, doctor, medical secretary, hospital registration, etc. The two courses are Allied Health and Medical Terminology. | None |
The Engineering program focuses on the basics of engineering principles and the concepts of alternative energy science. Students will be given “hands-on” experiences in Auto Cad basics and 3-D modeling with design practices for project-based outcomes.
