January Board Recognitions
At its January meeting the Wheelersburg Board of Education recognized multiple student athletes and coaches.


WHS Boys Soccer:  The boys soccer team won the SOC II and District championship in 2023.  
-Coach Jon Estep was recognized as SOC II Coach of the Year as well as the Southeast District Division III Coach of the Year
-Connor Estep was recognized as SOC II Defensive Player of the Year
-Nick Sylvia was recognized as 2nd Team All-Ohio
-Max Hagans was recognized as SOC II Offensive Player of the Year, Southeast District Division III Player of the Year, United Soccer Coaches All-Region (Great Lakes), 1st Team All-Ohio, WHS All-Time Leading Scorer, WHS Most Goals in a single season.
WHS Girls Soccer: The girls soccer team won the SOC II championship in 2023.
-Coach Kevin Powell was recognized as the SOC II Coach of the Year
-Assistant Coach Kevin Eller was recognized as the Southeast District division III Co-Assistant Coach of the year
Bella Miller was recognized as Co-SOC II Player of the Year
Maddison Kotcamp was recognized SOC II Defensive Player of the Year
WHS Football:  The Football team Won the SOC II championship in 2023 and were regional finalists.
-Coach Rob Woodward was recognized as SOC II Coach of the Year
-Jake Darling was recognized as Southeast District Division V Defensive Player of the year and 1st Team All-Ohio.
-Creed Warren was recognized as SOC II Offensive Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-Ohio.
-Cody Risner was recognized as Co-SOC II Lineman of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
-Cole Estep was recognized as Honorable Mention All-Ohio.
-Devon Lattimore was recognized as Honorable Mention All-Ohio
-Connor Estep was recognized as Honorable Mention All-Ohio
WHS Softball coach Teresa Ruby was recognized for her induction into the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Hall of Fame.
