Open Enrollment 2024-2025 All Grade Levels

The Wheelersburg Board of Education will permit the enrollment of students who are residents of other school districts in Ohio to the Wheelersburg Local School District. Students wishing to enroll in the Wheelersburg Schools may do so within the scope of the policies and regulations adopted by the Wheelersburg Board of Education as pertaining to interdistrict open enrollment.

Guidelines for the transfer of students are based upon criteria established by the schools’ administration in conjunction with recommendations of the Ohio Department of Education. These guidelines are consistent with applicable sections of the Ohio Revised Code.

Instructions to enroll a child as an open enrollment student for the 2024-2025 school year:

  1. Complete the open enrollment form on the right. One form is to be completed for each child to be enrolled.
  2. RETURNING Open Enrollment students for the 2024-2025 school year, must submit an application by March 31, 2024.
  3. New Open Enrollment Student applications may be submitted beginning AFTER the District open enrollment meeting, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on March 25 and continue through May 31, 2024. Any application received after May 31 may or may not be accepted by the superintendent. New student applications will be received on a first-come, first-served basis and processed according to Wheelersburg Board of Education policy.
  4. Applications and all other communications concerning open enrollment should be directed to Wheelersburg Board of Education, 620 Center Street, P.O. Box 340, Wheelersburg, Ohio 45694.
  5. Open enrollment applications for the 2024-2025 school year, will be acted upon during June. A notice of acceptance will be mailed to parents for new open enrollment students along with a parent acceptance form. The acceptance form is to be signed and returned on or before June 30th or upon receipt to the Board Office.
