The Wheelersburg Local Schools will dismiss classes two (2) hours early on Friday, August 22, 2025. This is being done to safely accommodate the dismissal of all students and the travel schedule for students and staff involved in the KIPP School vs. Wheelersburg football game.
Students in grades 4-12 will be dismissed at 12:45 a.m.
Students in grades K-3 will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
There will be no afternoon preschool class.
There will be no afternoon Pirate Care Club services.
Wheelersburg students who attend classes at Bloom-Vernon Elementary, Portsmouth West Middle School, and East Portsmouth Elementary will be provided transportation on a regular schedule for the morning route. The Transportation Department will contact the student’s parents to arrange afternoon transportation.
Wheelersburg students who attend classes at the SCCTC will be dismissed two (2) hours early on Friday, August 22, 2025. They will be provided with bus transportation in the morning and afternoon for the early dismissal. Students who attend classes at the SCCTC have the option of a regular schedule and self-transporting in the afternoon.
