Thank you for visiting my homepage! As principal at Wheelersburg Middle School, I am happy to share some information with you about myself and our school!
Before coming to WMS, I graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1997. I received my bachelor’s degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Education from Shawnee State University in 2002. My teaching/coaching career began at Wheelersburg High School where I taught ninth grade Language Arts and coached freshman boys’ basketball until 2007. That same year, I obtained a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Cincinnati. At that time, I took a position at Minford Middle School as an assistant principal and worked there prior to coming back to Wheelersburg. Since being back at The Burg, I’ve enjoyed helping with high school boys’ basketball again, as time permits, over the years.
My wife, Melissa, and I have three wonderful children: Lexie, Braylon, and Easton. When we are not at school, we enjoy spending time together as a family. In my spare time, I volunteer as a coach for my children’s sports teams. Being active in our community and promoting positive interaction with each other is important to me personally and to all of our staff. I am excited about the “family” environment we have here at W.M.S. and appreciate the hard work our teachers, staff members, and students put in to build Positive Leaders, Responsible Students, Independent Thinkers, Devoted Family, and Excellence!
Please check back as we continue to update our middle school webpage with great things that are happening here at WMS!
