All students graduating from Wheelersburg High School must complete one-half unit of health and one-half unit of physical education.
Tenth through twelfth grade students have the option of Lifetime Fitness and Advanced Weights. These courses will provide students the knowledge of physical fitness beyond the classroom.
Ninth grade students have the option of Strength & Fitness or Physical Education Activities. These courses will provide students the knowledge of increasing physical fitness through a variety of activities or a weight lifting program. Freshman must also complete the Physical Education Assessments that are required by the Ohio Department of Education.
Health Education will help promote an awareness of how individuals grow mentally, emotionally, and physically. It will also help develop and establish practices of healthful living for the betterment of self, family and community.
