On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, the 6th-grade language arts classes of Mrs. Haley French came to the Library Media Center for the annual campfire stories with Melody Williams, Wheelersburg District Librarian. The students were greeted at a campfire and enjoyed eating smores cereal while hearing a story from the library book, 3:15 Things that Go Bump in the Night by Patrick Carman. The students had previously written campfire stories in their classroom and then shared them around the campfire. As the students left the campfire site, they were given the treat of a pencil with the logo, Books are No. 1, Pencils are No.2. Everyone enjoyed the fun library event.
