History of Scioto County
With recent COVID-19 restrictions, students have been isolated and tied to their computer screens.  The goal of this tour is to bring young learners back out into the world through local history.  The purpose of the History of Scioto County Tour is to provide students with a background into how local history connects to content covered in our classrooms.  In Scioto County, there is a wealth of historical content that often goes unappreciated.  After this tour, the students will have a greater appreciation not only for their county, but the world around them.  From Native American history to Great Depression Era works to Branch Rickey/Jackie Robinson, this tour features an eclectic blend of history that will appeal to a wide variety of learners.
