Welcome to Mr. Eaton's webpage and Wheelersburg Middle School. In recent years, the staff and students of Wheelersburg Middle School collaborated to comprise a vision and mission statement, along with a school motto. The goal was to set an optimal desired future state of what our school wants to achieve over time, as well as on a daily basis. We believe these core ideals provide our students and staff with guidance and inspiration coupled with a primary focus.
The vision of WMS is to pursue excellence by providing a supportive family environment and developing positive leaders who take ownership of their learning.
The mission of WMS is to prepare students for their secondary education and to enable students to be lifelong learners.
The motto of WMS is P.R.I.D.E.
Hello! I am Mr. Eaton. This is my seventh year at WMS and my 19th year as an educator. I was fortunate to graduate from Wheelersburg High School in 1997. In 2001, I earned an Elementary Education Degree (Grades 1-8) from Mount Union College (Now Mount Union University). My Master's Degree is in Educational Administration from Ohio University.
My educational career began in Salem, Ohio at Southeast Elementary School where I taught sixth grade Math/Science. I also acted as the intramural director while at Southeast Elementary. From that point, I spent twelve years in Greenfield, Ohio. I taught sixth grade students in several content areas. Some of my other positions included coaching, weight room coordinator, teacher leader, and high school athletic director. While at WMS, I have taught technology for grades 4, 6, 7, and 8 and fulfilled duties as WMS Athletic Director/Assistant Principal. I feel blessed with the multitude of opportunities and wonderful people and students I have had the pleasure of interacting with in my career.
WMS is a wonderful school. WMS continues to grow and pursue excellence. Our staff is second-to-none. Our students continue to amaze and display wonderful character. Our community is filled with PRIDE. We are the "Pirates bold from Wheelersburg" and our stance will always remain strong and steadfast. Go Burg!
