1. What does true leadership mean to you?
True leadership is shown through a person who is a positive role model to others. They lead by example, and know how to take the high road when things get though. They are problem solvers, work well with others, and serve the organization they are in. True leaders are humble, and take pride in what they do.

4. Why did you want to become a band taecher?
I love band, and I couldn't imagine going into a profession where I was doing anything else. I love having the opportunity to teach students THROUGH music and band everyday. I really enjoy giving students the chance to express themselves through playing an instrumentm and providing an outlet in which they can feel apart of a family, learn leadership skills, and hone their musical skills.
5. How do you highlight academic achievement in your classroom?
Once we start test-offs this week, I have a sticker chart posted in the entrance of the band room. When students test off an exercise, they will get a sticker posted on the chart for everyone to see. This way, all students can see the achievements of their fellow band mates as soon as they walk in the door.
6. What do you plan to achieve this year in band?
