Welcome to my homepage!
Let me start by telling you a little about me. My name is Alyssa Williams and I am the Wheelersburg Middle School MD unit teacher. I serve students in grades 4-8 with small class sizes to accommodate their educational needs. I also work side by side with a classroom aide, Sharon Gwin.
I graduated high school from Minford Local Schools in 2011.
I graduated college from Shawnee State University with a Bachelors degree in Science Education. I am a certified Intervention Specialist for grades K-12.
I enjoy my job and love working close with the students! I also see the importance of parent involvement within the classroom. Studies have shown that with parent involved with their child's education, student success rises. Therefore, I have implemented several ways for parents to get involved. I use weekly updates through hand written notes or emails. I also have incorporated Class DOJO for parent involvement. This system will allow parents to observe student behavior and success within the classroom on a daily bases.
I do not allow parents to have access to my personal cell phone number however, a text through DOJO will send me a text notification and I will be able to reply right away. I also provide my room ext. number and email for communication needs as well.
