State Board of Education Recognizes WHS
Wheelersburg High School has been recognized by the State Board of Education and the Ohio Department of Education as a recipient of the 2019 Momentum Award.  The Momentum Award recognizes schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities.

Wheelersburg High School Principal Chris Porter stated, “There are a total of 48 districts and 173 schools recognized this year.  This is another example of the hard work and attention to detail that our teachers, students and staff are putting in on a daily basis.  It is also confirmation that our teachers and staff are focusing on the right improvement practices.  Thank you to everyone for helping make this award a reality for our school.  Congratulations!”
